What’s Brewing At The Cafe

It’s been a slow week for me. I’m working on a few projects I’ll be sharing them shortly. Here’s what’s been brewing at the cafe:

  • My youngest celebrated her 17th birthday. Her friend gave her a surprise party at her house. She invited a few of her friends and she had a ball. I’m so she was able to experience a good birthday. Last year wasn’t a good birthday for her, all her friends cancelled on her plans. Preparing for her senior year, man I can’t believe I’m saying this, she has always been my baby. I have to admit at times I still see her as my little girl.

This was the surprise party on Monday.

  • My oldest daughter was able to find herself a full-time job. I’m so proud of her, she has to do 8 weeks of training before she’s officially full-time, but I’m proud of her and she’s beaming.

She was ready for her interview and looked very nice.

  • The second season of Queen Sugar started this week. It’s on OWN-Oprah Winfrey Network and highly acclaimed drama about a family from Louisiana that inherits their dad’s farm after his untimely death. The siblings are estranged and have to come together to keep their father’s legacy alive. I absolutely love this show, the actors, writers, directing just everything about it.

I’ve done my usual crafting but I’m not ready to share them yet. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Hi Michele
Don’t worry about slow times, I realized
That it’s needed, to reflect on times
    & things that has past.
These are the times I use to study
Myself, my passion and my beliefs.
These are the days I prove to
Myself that what I believe is the
    One thing I hold onto.
    This with everyday life, pushes
You up and forward. This positive
Outlook on the slow times, helps me to
To stay focus, on my desires .
    Your moving forward and upward.
You are a beautiful woman, mother
    Wife and friend.
    You go girl.
